Dave Buechler started his career as a music teacher in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, trying hard to buck the family tradition of becoming an accountant like his father and brother. That only lasted five years when Dave decided to go back to school for his second Bachelor’s degree in, you guessed it, accounting. Dave started playing the saxophone when he was nine years old and says that his musical side makes him a better accountant. “My left brain makes me better at finding creative solutions to complex problems.” He keeps his passion for music alive by regularly performing with an 80-piece community band. He brings many years of accounting experience to PFS, having worked with various nonprofits, professional services organizations and retailers, big and small, such as Target, Best Buy and Kohls. Dave loves to sail, and is especially looking forward to sailing in the Florida Keys and the Caribbean with his son Matt sometime in 2021. He keeps his sailboat on Lake Pepin in Minnesota. Dave lives with his wife, Teresa, also an accountant, and has three adult children.
