What Ginger loves most about her role with PFS is that she gets to be the matchmaker, the person who connects volunteers with a role they often come to love. At first, volunteers often don’t really know what they’re getting into, or how much they’ll get out of it. Watching a volunteer evolve, and seeing how the role can fulfill a passion—Ginger loves being a part of this process. Ginger comes from a background in supply chain logistics at both Cargill and General Mills, which helps her to understand what clients are experiencing, having been a part of solving similar problems. She also comes from a strong background in volunteering herself, from an early age. She is currently actively involved with the Junior League of Minneapolis. Outside of work, you might find Ginger at a yoga center, an ice cream shop, volunteering or spending time with her fur babies, her dog Chloe and her cat Gucci. She also does a lot of reading, especially on psychology topics. Best books she has read lately: anything by Brené Brown, author of Daring Greatly.
