Dave loves working with teams to implement innovation—so much that he continues this work in his retirement. He is very inspired that PFS isn’t only an advocate for improving the health and wellness of people but also provides the means for doing so, working with private industry. Dave comes to PFS with 30 years of experience in food manufacturing and engineering at General Mills, where he was responsible for new process system engineering. He has also served on the board at Compatible Technology International, a nonprofit that helps families in developing countries access innovative farming tools so they can produce food more sustainably and bring their crops to market. At Colorado State University early in his career, Dave worked on research and development to start up local food production plants in Tanzania and Costa Rica, a project funded by USAID and CARE. Dave’s outside interests include fly fishing, playing music with friends (guitar, mandolin, and banjo), and cooking. He lives in Colorado and Minnesota with the love of his life, Shelley Kerr.
